Happy New Year to everyone reading. I hope today finds you well and in reasonably good shape. Susan and I celebrated New Years in typical parents-of-two-kids-under-five fashion: we went to bed early. Strangely enough, the New Year still happened overnight. 
Have you had your black-eyed peas yet today? Have you made your resolutions? Did you sing Auld Lang Syne? I haven’t done any of these yet. Wikipedia has more on the subject.
Here are my plans:
- Pick up the Explorer (it was in the shop)
- Watch football (Go Horns)
- Have dinner with the father-in-law (install his Christmas present)
- Go play poker with friends
I’ll worry about resolutions tomorrow.
The playscape is bliss for Emma
We also took a drive to the new house today. Susan and I switched off watching Emma at the playscape while the other looked at the house. They’ve finished painting and they’re starting the tile. It’s looking really nice.
We’ve ordered our Pod yesterday. It’ll get dropped off here next weekend. We’ll start loading the contents of our entire house into a little box so it can be moved to our new house. I expect we’ll be making little runs back and forth once we move in.
