Some 40 hours or so since my last post and I’m no longer excited about moving. I’m exhausted. My back and feet are killing me and we’re still not done. They’ll take me from the new house in a pine box before I’ll move again. Ugh!

We had the morning walk through and everything went very well. The builder dutifully did most of what he said he’d do. There were a few minor things, but they were resolved for the most part.

Our closing went well. We were in and out in just about an hour. We got our new keys and started to move in. We took over some larger items and some clothes to begin with. I made another trip and brought over the (little) fridge and the freezer. My body really started aching. I gave out at about 11pm (I got a whopping 4 hours on Tuesday night) and my 3 year old woke me up at about 5:45am. “Daddy, I want some breakfast.” I’m going to start leaving the Pop Tarts on a low shelf.

The POD turned out great. It took us several weeks to load it, but Susan and I emptied it in about 2 hours. The stuff is strewn about our new house (and in the garage), but at least it’s transported.

I’ve contacted our new ISP at the new house and they indicated it may be next week before we’ll have internet access at home. That stinks. It may be for the best. I don’t need the distraction. There’s too much to do.
