Cheesy, greasy goodness…In N Out’s 4 x 4!!
I can imagine some of you didn’t believe me when I said I ordered a cheeseburger with 4 beef patties and 4 slices of cheese. Even though I didn’t hear anything about it (except from Susan) I just know that some of you were skeptical.
So I had to prove it by buying another one and taking a picture of it. Of course…I couldn’t let it go to waste.
I wonder how long it will be before they come to Texas. Perhaps I’ll write them an email.
I am “blogging” from the glorious San Francisco International airport. Apparently, T-Mobile provides wireless for pay, but I don’t seem to be incurring a charge. Perhaps the service is “confused” by Firefox.
Let me say this about the terminal here at old SFO (the 3 character code for San Francisco-Oakland International): I was expecting much better. Continental’s terminal here stinks! The other terminal might be much better (for example, Detroit’s Northwest terminal is modern and wonderful while the Delta terminal is awful). There isn’t much here and the hallways remind me (almost eerily) of Austin’s old Mueller airport. It smells better than Mueller did, though.
I’ve decided to take the “red eye” flight back to Austin tonight. My flight leaves at 12:30am PST and it supposedly arrives home at 8:30am CST. I just feel like I’m getting robbed by a conspiracy of time zones. It doesn’t seem fair that an evening will pass during this flight.
I’ve come to the conclusion that (at least going west) I am a time zone chameleon. I arrived late on Saturday night and I stayed awake until after midnight in the new time zone without any trouble. Last night, I stayed up till 2am PST (4am CST in case you’re scoring at home) and while I was tired, I didn’t have any trouble staying awake.
If the past is any indication, I will not do well coming east. Even though my body has been on Pacific time only 4 days, I’ve adapted. Waking up at 5:45am will feel like the middle of the night.
I have every intention of sleeping on this flight, but I have my doubts. I tried a red eye flight only once before from Seattle and it was a disaster. I was wedged in a window seat on a very full flight that was bumpy and noisy. Afterwards, I had red eyes and a nasty scowl.
How much worse can it be? This one has got to be better, right?
