All this for $8.66
I’ll abbreviate that to “BOC” from now on…this is a family website.
One of my favorite things on the web is Woot. Woot is a website where you have the opportunity to purchase one item per day (at a pretty good price). They often sell cordless phones, computer parts, mp3 players and other gadgets and gizmos. Even if you don’t buy what they’re selling, reading the description is often worth visiting. They often sell out of the daily product.
Every once in awhile, they do what’s called a Random BOC (abbreviating). This is essentially a grab bag of items that they’re trying to get rid of. It always sells out because it’s extremely popular. You plunk down your $3 for the grab bag, the $5 for the shipping and any tax you need to pay, and you take your chances. All the items on Woot go on sale at midnight CST. The BOC sells out (usually) within minutes.
I was lucky enough to get in and I was pretty happy with my stuff. I received:
- A $5 coupon for my next purchase
- 2 Kensington productivity pucks
- A short CATV cable (for the computer)
- A remote control T-Rex (It’s great for making the cat uncomfortable)
All in all, a good bag. If you read the Woot forums, you can see what others received. It looks like my bag wasn’t the best, but by no means the worst. Some are getting mp3 players and stereos.
