Some of you may have noticed that I’ve joined Last.FM and now every time I play a song on my iPod or through iTunes, it gets “reported” to Last.FM and (in turn) reports it to the “widget” in my sidebar on the right. Tonight I’m listening to Diana Krall, but I have a variety of musical preferences.
The way Last.FM works is that you download their “scrobbling” software that will take a look at how you listen to music. I listen to music all the time. After the Last.FM software examines your listening habits for awhile, it will recommend a song stream for you based on what it knows about you. I’ve got to admit that it was pretty good at playing stuff I liked when I tried it for the first time.
If you’re a member of Last.FM and want to add me, just look for “mguentz” and add me as your friend (don’t worry, I won’t be crashing at your place for the weekend).
