It was 3 years ago yesterday today that my bride was patiently waiting for her C-Section in the Anesthesiologist’s sleep room because the maternity section of the hospital was so crowded. A little after midnight 4pm, we had a new son and my girls had a new brother.
Today we had a little party.
Erik and friends had a great time playing on an inflatable water slide, while the parents and grandparents tried to survive the high temperatures and humidity (September in Texas is still pretty hot).
Erik insisted he wanted a Cookie Monster cake for his birthday. After looking around a bit, Susan was able to find a place to get Cookie Monster cupcakes. They were adorable:

Luckily, it wore off (after a while) and everyone seemed to have a good time.
Happy Birthday, Biggun!

[UPDATE: Corrections on details of Erik's birth provided by my mom. ]
