It was…um…several years ago (in the middle of the night) that my father put me in the back section of the hatchback we owned. Mom was having contractions or something and it was time for me to go to my grandparents while they went to the hospital.
As dad pulled me out of the car in Taylor, I looked in the sky and noticed a bright red object next the moon. Mars! That’s the last remaining memory I have before my sister came into this world.
The next morning, dad came back to my grandparents house and told me I was a big brother to a brand new sister. Later, I went to the hospital and seeing her through the reinforced glass of the nursery. That was a good day.
I thought I was pretty lucky to have a little sister.
Of course, I was also lucky that I got to miss an entire half day of school because of her.
Happy Birthday Jen!
