I’m hoping to post a few “catch up” articles to account for the time when I was without my main computer.

Here’s the first catch up article:

Camping. Our friends Tracy and Allison asked if we wanted to go camping with them at Inks Lake a few weeks ago. I haven’t been camping since I was a kid (at Inks Lake coincidentally). I wasn’t sure we were going to make it in a tent (or tents as it turned out).

We had a great time. The first night was quite cold (mid 40s is cold for us Texas folk) and I didn’t get much sleep. The second night was low to mid 50s and I slept very well.

The kids got to roast marshmallows and we actually sang around a campfire thanks to Tracy.  I got to experience a clear night sky with very little surface city light and witnessed more stars than I’ve seen in quite some time.

We’re hoping we’ll get the chance to do it again come fall.
