In 40ish years of life, my mom’s done plenty for me. And while it’s true that the American “holiday” of Mother’s Day isn’t exactly what it used to be (the original idea was a “Mother’s Day for Peace” but later Woodrow Wilson made it a memorial holiday for mothers of fallen soldiers). Moms are no less special for all the great things they do for their kids.
